Leeds United have reportedly made an enquiry over a move to sign Norwich City playmaker Emi Buendia this summer, if they gain promotion to the Premier League – and Leeds supporters have reacted on Twitter.
Buendia, 23, joined Norwich in the summer of 2018 from Spanish side Getafe – having spent a season with Real Madrid’s youth academy as a teenager. He has since starred for Norwich.
The Argentine was crucial to Norwich’s promotion campaign last season – having a hand in 25 goals during 41 appearances. The assist machine scored eight but it was his 17 assists that caught the eye.
This season, he has failed to score in 31 appearances for rock-bottom Norwich – but the Argentine has been applauded for his ability to create in a side that have struggled to score regularly.
In his 29 Premier League outings, Buendia has created seven goals. Now, Read Norwich have claimed that Leeds have asked about Buendia with the chances being that Leeds and the Canaries swap places this summer.
No response has been made by Norwich, though it is unlikely that Buendia will be at Carrow Road next season if Norwich are relegated. Leeds fans responded to the reported news about Buendia, and are desperate to see him sign.
He’s 100% better than Costa but abit concerning he’s got zero goals this season
