Leeds United are reportedly interested in luring Hertha Berlin playmaker Matheus Cunha to Elland Road this summer despite a potential fee being similar the one they paid for Rodrigo – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.
Reports emerged earlier this month and now it has been reported by Kicker that Leeds are interested in signing the 21-year-old Brazilian – and remain interested despite Hertha activating a clause that extends his deal until 2025.
Having impressed in glimpses during a stint at RB Leipzig, Cunha joined Hertha for £16million in January 2020 – and has since had a hand in 23 goals during his 39 appearances. This season, he has produced 16 goal involvements.

No surprises, then, that Leeds are interested. The young Brazilian is showing enormous potential but is available for a fee believed to be in the region of £32million this summer – which is pretty low given his age and potential.
Despite the new deal, Leeds remain interested and are said to be intensifying talks ahead of a potential summer move. The Whites are likely to be after an attacking midfielder, after coming close to signing Rodrigo De Paul.
Leeds fans reacted to the reports on Twitter and it is clear that many would love to see the arrival of Cunha at Elland Road – though interest in his services is rife. One fan, though, thinks he would cost “way too much”.
