Leeds fans react as club linked with Wolves star

Leeds United are reportedly looking to land Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Helder Costa on a season-long loan this summer – and Whites fans have reacted with sheer delight on Twitter.

The Yorkshire Evening Post have claimed Marcelo Bielsa is looking to get his transfer business done early in the window. Costa, 25, and young Brighton defender Ben White have been identified as options.

Leeds are prioritising new wingers this summer, and Portugal international Costa matches that. It remains to be seen if Wolves are willing to let Costa go on loan, and it is expected that a permanent deal would be unlikely.

Costa was excellent in his two seasons in the Championship with Wolves, scoring 15 goals and creating 14 more during his 71 appearances in England’s second tier. He played 25 times for Wolves in the Premier League last season.

Jack Harrison has returned to Manchester City and The Sun claim Pep Guardiola’s side want as much as £20million for the ex-New York City man. That would make him Leeds’ second most expensive signing, behind Rio Ferdinand.
