Leeds United have been linked with a move for Celta Vigo attacker Emre Mor this month, who is currently struggling to impress on loan at Leeds’ rivals Galatasaray – and Whites fans have reacted on Twitter to the reported news.

Turkish outlet Fotospor have claimed Leeds like the 5ft 7in 22-year-old, who is set to see his Galatasaray loan cancelled this month after struggling to impress with the Turkish side. He has failed to score or lay on an assist in 16 games.

The former Borussia Dortmund is being strongly linked with a move to the Championship, with reports in Spain claiming West Brom are eyeing Mor – while Brentford are also said to be contenders. Lazio have been offered the player, but they said no.

Touted as the ‘Turkish Messi’ by many, Mor broke through the ranks at Danish side FC Nordsjaelland. The Denmark-born Turkish star quickly gained recognition and moved to Borussia Dortmund aged 18.

But after falling out with then-manager Thomas Tuchel, he was sold to Celta Vigo where he has since had to apologise for reporting late to training. Now at Gala, echoes of Messi are a long way away from his current ability.

A move to the Championship is in the offing with three high-flyers said to be keen, but Leeds fans are not convinced and do not want Marcelo Bielsa to take a risk on the 15-time Turkey international this month.
