Leeds fans react as club announce Dallas and Cooper contracts

A number of Leeds United supporters have taken to Twitter to react to the announcement that the club made on their official website that both Stuart Dallas and Liam Cooper have signed new contracts at Elland Road.

Leeds already provided their supporters with something to smile about earlier this week when they announced Kalvin Phillips had penned a new deal.

And they have followed that announcement by confirming that Dallas is set to stay until 2023, while Cooper could stay for a further year.

Unsurprisingly, the news has gone down well incredibly well amongst the Whites supporters on social media – with many lauding the Championship high-flyers for being so proactive with their players.

Cooper has been excellent since Marcelo Bielsa’s appointment last year. And his partnership with Ben White has been a key reason why United boast the best defensive record in the division so far this season.

Cooper’s game appears to have gone up a level this term. But that is perhaps nothing compared to the transformation that Dallas has enjoyed this season.

The Northern Ireland international was always a dependable member of the squad. But he has been a revelation at right-back after Luke Ayling sustained an injury in pre-season.

The fans are overjoyed with the news. But there are also some who do not want the club to rest just yet. One name cropped up several times as the supporters named the next contract they wanted to be agreed.
