Clarke Oduor scored his first goal for Leeds United’s Under-23 side on Monday night as Carlos Corberan’s side continued their dominance of the Professional Development League North – and Leeds fans are stunned.

The 19-year-old winger from Kenya has been a regular part of the reserve side this season, going from a full-back to one of the side’s most exciting wingers. He scored his first, as the Whites beat Ipswich Under-23’s 3-0.

An excellent long ball from Bryce Hosannah was excellent controlled by Oduor, who played inside to Jordan Stevens. The midfielder’s chip over the defence was met by Oduor, who volleyed into the Ipswich net at Elland Road.

First-team stars Adam Forshaw, Jack Clarke, Gaetano Berardi and Izzy Brown also played in the match, with Berardi and Ryan Edmondson scoring the goals. A video of Oduor’s goal made it online.

Oduor remains on the fringes of the first team, and was one of the many youngsters that made their debuts in the 2-1 FA Cup defeat to QPR back in January.

Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to Oduor’s goal, with many stunned by the football played by Corberan’s side. One fan described winger Oduor as the “next Jermaine Beckford”, while Leeds youth player Matty Downing described him as an “animal”.
