Rob Green hilariously donned a Chelsea goalkeeper shirt on Wednesday night in Baku to lift the Europa League trophy after the Blues beat Arsenal 4-1 – and Leeds United fans reacted on Twitter.
Green, 39, joined Chelsea in the summer after a year with Huddersfield Town. The former England World Cup star failed to make a single appearance for Huddersfield, and he has failed to do so at Chelsea.
Yet, in true John Terry style, Green entered the field of play in Azerbaijan to lift the trophy, despite failing to even sit on the bench of Maurizio Sarri’s side. Kepa Arrizabalaga and Willy Caballero sit above him in the pecking order.

Indeed, the last time the 12-time England international played a professional match, was for Leeds United in the Carabao Cup against Newport County, which saw the Whites win 5-1 in August 2017.
Green is now out of contract at Chelsea and it remains to be seen if he will indeed continue his professional playing career, which now spans almost 18 years after his league debut for Norwich in August 2001.
Leeds United fans reacted on Twitter to pictures and videos emerging on social media of Rob Green infiltrating the celebrations, which also included pictures of Eden Hazard celebrating on the goalkeeper’s shoulders.
