Bobby Kamwa finished off an excellent Leeds United move as the Under-23 side earned a point away from home against Barnsley, tapping home a cut-back from Ian Poveda – and Whites fans have reacted on Twitter.

Kamwa, who turns 20 in a few days, continued his excellent recovery from injury which has stunted his growth in the Under-18 and Under-23 sides. Now, the striker has three goals in three appearances for the club’s Under-23 side.

Goals against Bolton during a 4-1 win in the league and then a second in two games during the Premier League Cup draw with Wolves saw Kamwa go to Barnsley in great form. He scored a third in three after top work from Ian Poveda.

January recruit Poveda picked the ball up in his own half, before some lovely interchanging saw Poveda freed on the right flank. He reached the penalty area, before pulling the ball back for Kamwa to finish smartly first time.

With Kamwa’s contract expiring in the summer, the striker has finally shown Leeds coaches what he is capable of after a difficult time with injuries. With his form getting better and better, he could be in line for an extended stay.

Indeed, Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to the news that Kamwa had scored another goal for the reserve side, and many want the Leeds attacker to be handed a new deal following his recent stunning form in front of goal.
