Leeds fans react as Alioski is ruled out for remainder of season by injury

Ezgjan Alioski has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn meniscus in Leeds United’s 2-0 loss against Brentford yesterday, as per the club’s official website.

Leeds have had an awful Easter weekend, with two losses against Wigan and the Bees as their automatic promotion hopes have all but slipped away.

And the injury to Alioski, who has been deputising at left back for a number of weeks now, just adds further pain to a period that has been testing for Marcelo Bielsa’s men.

It remains to be seen who Bielsa goes with to replace Alioski, with Gaetano Berardi, Stuart Dallas and Jamie Shackleton all among the options.

That’s a big decision that Bielsa simply has to get right as he looks to guide his side out of such a testing period which has come at the worst possible time.
