Southampton have reportedly made Alex McCarthy available for a transfer this summer and the England goalkeeper has two Premier League admirers – but Leeds United fans want him signed.
Sky Sports claim Southampton are keen to remove some of their highest earners from the wage bill, and have made McCarthy, Fraser Forster and Charlie Austin available for a move this summer.
Both McCarthy and Forster have lost their place to Angus Gunn between the sticks at St. Mary’s Stadium. Aston Villa and Liverpool are both said to be keen on the 29-year-old goalkeeper.
Leeds, meanwhile, have made serious movements in the transfer market this week, bringing in Ben White, Jack Harrison, Jack Clarke, Helder Costa, Liam McCarron and youngsters Rafa Mujica and Guillermo Amor.

But areas of the side still need improving and one of those could be between the sticks. Kiko Casilla made a number of errors after signing from Real Madrid, crucially in the play-off semi-final against Derby.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell continues to impress with Northern Ireland but the odd mistake crept into his game during the first half of the season. A new goalkeeper could be on the horizon, then.
Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to urge their club to sign McCarthy from Southampton, who played six times for Leeds during a two-month loan spell between November 2011 and January 2012.
