Cardiff City are reportedly closing in on the £6million signing of Middlesbrough colossus Aden Flint this summer from Middlesbrough – and Leeds United fans have reacted on Twitter.
BBC Sport have claimed that 30-year-old Flint is set to replace Bruno Manga at Cardiff, with the current Blues star set to move to France after Cardiff accepted a £3million bid for his services.
Flint has been linked with Leeds in the past but moved to Middlesbrough last summer, where he clocked up 42 appearances in all competitions. However, he struggled to live up to his big transfer fee.
The centre-back is renowned for his goalscoring abilities, finding the back of the net 47 times throughout his professional career. His 6ft 6in frame makes him an enormous threat from set pieces.
Leeds have sold Pontus Jansson to Brentford this summer and fans are desperate for the big Swede to be replaced by their club this summer, with new recruit Ben White not seen as a long-term replacement for Jansson.
Leeds fans took to Twitter upon hearing the reported news that Cardiff are about to sign Flint, and many have reacted by wishing it was their club that were after the former Bristol City captain.
He was magnificent for Bristol.

The 6m might of been a reason why Leeds didn’t go for him. If it was possible to loan then @LUFC would of been sniffing

Ajayi? Flint? Nah, let's not bother #LUFC. We'll be fine 😔.
