Leeds fans react after Derby’s Lawrence escapes diving punishment and can make play-offs

Leeds United’s Championship play-off semi final against Derby County needs no extra spice, with the ‘Spygate’ scandal from earlier this season adding a different edge to an already monstrous clash.

The incentive on offer ensures that it’s a huge game, and Patrick Bamford will miss the the first leg because of his part in the melee during the recent match with Aston Villa.

Meanwhile, Derby’s Tom Lawrence will be available for the match after escaping punishment for an alleged dive in Sunday’s match against West Brom.

The Rams won the match 3-1 to seal their top six place, and the Welsh international will now be able to play against the Whites, which has angered the Elland Road fans.

They feel that there is perhaps a double standard at work, and have taken to Twitter to angrily react to the decision to exonerate Lawrence ahead of the huge clash this weekend.
