‘Like a brick wall’: Leeds fans rave about Adam Forshaw, despite 3-2 Chelsea defeat

Leeds United suffered late heartbreak at the hands of Chelsea this afternoon as a late Jorginho penalty – his second of the game – meant the Blues ran out 3-2 winners.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side had put in a fine performance at Stamford Bridge and looked to have snatched a well-deserved point through young striker Joe Gelhardt. However, Jorginho’s second spot-kick of the day left a sour taste in the mouth for the Whites.

But while the result will be a kick in the you know whats for Leeds, the performance itself was good. And a number of players seem to be returning to their best form. None more so, than midfielder Adam Forshaw, who was imperious in the middle once again.

Forshaw has had to deal with a nightmare spell of injuries, so his performances lately are all the more remarkable. Today, though, he seemed to step it up another level and Leeds fans were suitably impressed with him.
