Leeds fans rage at Patrick Bamford’s display in QPR loss

Leeds United were beaten 1-0 away to QPR on Saturday afternoon in the Championship – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter took out their frustration on the performance of Patrick Bamford.

The Whites once again suffered more heartache on a trip to London and they have now lost back-to-back league games to loosen their grip on second in the table.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were undone by Nahki Wells’ first-half goal, but there was a touch of fortune for the hosts after the ball appeared to strike his hand in the build-up.

Meanwhile, Leeds were dealt another blow as key midfielder Kalvin Phillips was shown a straight red card in the closing stages for a tough challenge and he will now serve a suspension.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media picked out centre-forward Bamford for his display and were not pleased with his efforts.

The 26-year-old saw a few decent chances pass him by in the game, including a one-on-one opportunity with the goalkeeper.

But a defining point was when he saw his penalty saved when 1-0 down after he had won the spot-kick for the visitors.

Bamford has 10 league goals so far this season under his belt, but spurned more opportunities in front of goal at the weekend and received huge criticism on Twitter.
