Tyler Roberts played 90 minutes for Wales on Thursday night during the defeat to England – but some Leeds United fans on Twitter were pleased with the performance of their attacker.
Ryan Giggs’ side were beaten 3-0 at Wembley Stadium by rivals England, who won the International friendly courtesy of goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Conor Coady and Danny Ings.
Despite being in the contest for large spell, Wales were just unable to find the final ball in their game and ultimately ran out of steam in the end.
Roberts, who earned his eighth senior Wales cap, was one of the brighter players on display for the visitors.
The 21-year-old was extremely sharp coming in off the right flank to central areas and linked up well with teammates in the final third, particularly in the first-half.
He was moved into a more central striker role following an injury to Kieffer Moore and it was certainly more of a challenge for him, but he showed a great work-rate and willingness for his country.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media were positive about Roberts’ contribution for Wales and believe he showcased some of his talent on the international stage.
The versatile attacker has featured in all four of the opening Premier League games this season, but can’t quite make the impact to nail down a spot in Marcelo Bielsa’s XI and that’s been a similar theme at Elland Road.
He needs to start improving his end product if he wants to complete 90 minutes for Leeds consistently, plus he’s got tough competition from club teammates Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo.
