Leeds fans praise Stuart Dallas despite Swansea loss

Stuart Dallas continued to impress in his role as a full-back but could not prevent Leeds United’s loss on Saturday. The Whites were downed 1-0 at home to Swansea City and replaced at the top of the Championship.

Swansea picked up a smash-and-grab win, executing Steve Cooper’s plan to perfection. Wayne Routledge applied the finishing touch right at the death as Swansea beat Leeds by a single goal.

Despite their loss, Leeds fans were quick to praise Dallas. The Northern Ireland international has been heavily criticised in the past but he is proving the critics wrong with some of his performances this season.

Dallas was a workhorse up and down the right flank throughout the game and he provided several chances. In defence, he was assured and looks to be growing into his more defensive role.

The 28-year-old is now preferred at right-back to Gaetano Berardi despite that being his natural position. With Luke Ayling out, Dallas is beating Berardi and Jamie Shackleton in the battle for the starting right-back spot.

Here are some tweets discussing Dallas’ performance against Swansea.
