Leeds fans praise Mateusz Klich for his display in Hull victory

Mateusz Klich starred in Leeds United’s emphatic away victory at Hull City on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter praised the midfielder for his display.

The Whites temporarily moved eight points clear of third-placed Fulham with their 4-0 demolition win in their early kick-off fixture.

Defender Luke Ayling opened the scoring with his deflected effort in the fifth minute, while Pablo Hernandez netted early in the second-half to help the visitors pull clear.

Substitute Tyler Roberts then fired a quick-fired double to add some gloss to the scoreline and that will do his confidence a massive boost after a frustrating campaign plagued by injuries.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media felt that Klich deserved immense credit for his latest display in the centre of the park.

The central midfielder is an ever-present in Marcelo Bielsa’s XI and once again he put in an incredible shift during the 90 minutes.

He was tireless in his defensive work and covered so much ground, while going forward he showed his class too with two assists.

The 29-year-old set up Roberts with a cushioned pass in the box, before supplying the cross for his second headed goal too.
