Jordan Stevens played the first-half on Friday night during the Under-23s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter hailed him for his performance.
The teenage midfielder played the opening 45 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Wolves in a Premier League Cup Group H fixture.
Stevens was involved in the Leeds goal, as he assisted teammate Bobby Kamwa to open the scoring.
But Wolves did respond to earn a draw through Chem Campbell’s second-half strike into the top corner from distance.
Stevens has only played three senior games this season, but been heavily involved around the first-team group and featured on the bench a lot recently in the Championship.
His withdrawal at half-time on Friday suggests he could be named on the bench for Saturday’s home fixture against Reading in the Championship.
The central midfielder caught the eye with his cameo for the Under-23s, as he showed his great vision and pace to look head and shoulders above the rest.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media were raving about Stevens for his performance at youth level and are convinced he’s got a big future ahead of him at Elland Road.
