Leeds fans praise Douglas after impressive display on return from injury

Barry Douglas is in pursuit of a second straight promotion from the Championship after forming an integral part of the Wolves side that swept all before them last time around.

Wolves’ decision has been to Leeds’ huge benefit but the left-back has been sorely missed in recent week as he has been forced to sit out with injury.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side battled on in his absence but as their form began to waver, the Argentine needed as many of his big guns as possible available.

The Scot made his hotly-anticipated return against Wigan on Sunday, which offered Leeds balance and thrust once more down that left hand side.

It showed as the Whites put on a complete performance which deserved more than the one-goal, 2-1 victory it got against the Latics at the DW Stadium.

Leeds fans couldn’t get enough of the Scot’s display on his return, coming as it did in yet another commanding display on the road – well-needed after that recent wobble – and we’ve taken a closer look at the best of the reaction…
