Leeds fans praise defender Robin Koch for his performance against Everton

Leeds United recorded an impressive win away at Everton on Saturday evening – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter applauded their defender Robin Koch for his performance.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were involved in an all-action contest that saw both sides have plenty of good goalscoring opportunities, but in the end it finished 1-0 to visitors Leeds at Goodison Park.

Left-footed attacker Raphinha was the match-winner for the Whites with a long-range strike in the 79th minute that he drilled along the floor to the bottom corner, and he was a constant threat throughout.

The Yorkshire giants now have back-to-back clean sheets in the league after a goalless draw with Arsenal in their previous match and have started to regain some form.

It was a game where Leeds were breathtaking at times going forward, but a selection of Leeds supporters on social media believe that their defence stood firm and singled out Koch as a real positive.

The German defender was up against one of Europe’s most in-form strikers in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but was the winner of their individual dual and looked in control all match.

He is a 24-year-old centre-back that has been a little consistent in the early stages of his Elland Road career since joining in the summer, but was a colossus on Saturday and reads the game so well.
