Leeds United recorded a dramatic 3-2 victory over Millwall on Saturday afternoon – and many of the club’s supporters picked out defender Luke Ayling for huge praise.
The Whites had to come from behind on two separate occasions at Elland Road before finally snatching three points.
Pablo Hernandez continued his brilliant individual campaign with two goals for the Yorkshire giants, which included the winner in the 83rd minute.
Ayling was also influential going forward from right-back, as he provided an assist for one of Hernandez’s goals and also popped up with a thunderous header.
Marcelo Bielsa’s team are now up to second in the Championship table and have a two point cushion over Sheffield United, who suffered defeat at home to Bristol City.

A selection of Leeds fans on social media were delighted to see Ayling put in a great display offensively for the home team.
The 27-year-old full-back has had to endure his fair stick of criticism this campaign for his inconsistent displays, but he appears to be hitting top form once again.
He’s now managed four assists in his last four league games and was a constant overlapping threat on the right flank against Millwall.
It’s now back in Leeds’ hands in the automatic promotion race, but there are set to be many more twists still with seven games to go.
