'Get him in the first team now': Leeds fans call for Summerville to get nod after Fleetwood display
Leeds United might have lost out to Fleetwood Town this evening but there was a brilliant display from Crysencio Summerville to cushion the blow.
A young Whites side lost out 2-1 to the seaside outfit. Marcelo Bielsa sent the youngsters to the coast, with Leeds preparing to face Real Betis over the weekend anyway.
Lewis Bate was given his first run out since signing from Chelsea, while Adam Forshaw was one of the more experienced heads in the XI.
But it was the display from Summerville which caught the eye, as the 19-year-old showed again just why he is so highly-rated.
The Dutch teenager was electric to watch and he is staking his claim to be given some time by Marcelo Bielsa in the coming season. He outshone players such as Ian Poveda, with some Leeds fans quick to point out they feel Summerville is already better than Poveda.
Here, then, is what some Leeds fans had to say about Crysencio Summerville’s performance for Leeds against Fleetwood tonight.
Summerville get him in the first team now @LUFC

Impressed with sole of those. have to keep Summerville & he has to be ahead of Poveda & costa

Think we’ve played good tonight. Played against a established league one side and we have given them a game. Summerville has to at least make appearances in the premier league this season. Would have him in over costa any day.

Don’t know if this is an unpopular take or not but Summerville should be ahead of Poveda/Costa in the pecking order imo. Poveda/Costa are good but Summerville is just an unreal talent he’s already an outlet, much more direct and more decisive in the final 3rd than both.
