Leeds United took full advantage of Norwich’s slip-up against Preston last night with a much-needed 2-1 victory oer Swansea.
Goals from Pontus Jansson and Jack Harrison got Marcelo Bielsa’s men a vital three points, secured when they withstood a nervy closing period when Oli McBurnie netted a late penalty.
It was just the tonic the Whites needed and it got the confidence and feel-good factor back around the place again and there was also cause for celebration for Luke Ayling.
The defender has had his injury problems this season but last night marked his 100th appearance in a Leeds shirt and the supporters were keen to pay tribute to a man who has been a consistent performer during his time at Elland Road.

Amid some instability off the pitch at Leeds in recent times, Ayling has always put in his maximum effort and is a versatile, reliable performer who has adjusted well to Marcelo Bielsa’s complex demands this season as well.
That’s what makes him so popular with the majority of Leeds supporters and it was those fans who wanted to pay tribute to the former Bristol City man for his contribution to the cause…
