Adam Forshaw played 91 minutes in the win over Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon – and some Leeds United fans on Twitter hailed the midfielder for his performance.

The 27-year-old has started every one of the opening three league games this campaign and is developing into a key player for the Whites.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa saw his side put in a clinical performance to beat Wigan 2-0 on the road and they now have seven points from three games in the Championship.

Patrick Bamford was the goalscoring hero by netting twice for the visitors and he’s started the campaign in decent form.

The left-footed striker scored two goals from close-range, as he showed natural instincts around the penalty area.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media picked out Forshaw for his contribution against Wigan.

The box-to-box central midfielder saw plenty of the ball and put in the type of energetic work-rate that fans have become used to seeing from him.

He certainly didn’t have his goalscoring boots on and his shooting needs some work on, but did see a header rattle off the woodwork which gave Bamford an empty net to tap into.
