Leeds fans positive about pre-season performance of Rafa Mujica

Rafa Mujica got his first minutes in a Leeds United shirt on Wednesday night – and some of the club’s supporters were impressed by his performance off the bench.

The Whites secured a comfortable 5-0 victory over non-league outfit York City in their first pre-season game of the summer.

Marcelo Bielsa fielded a very strong starting XI that looked sharp and were obviously a class above of their opponents.

Jack Harrison (two), Kemar Roofe, Pablo Hernandez and Adam Forshaw netted for Leeds.

Bielsa did substitute all ten outfield players in the 62nd minute and introduced a wave of youngsters to take a look at them.

Mujica entered the action in the second-half and certainly was one of the players that stood out with his cameo.

The Spanish attacker showed some quality moments on the ball collecting possession in the number 10 role and saw one effort go wide of the goal too after dribbling around the goalkeeper.

He is a 20-year-old talent that only moved to Elland Road this summer, after his contract expired with Barcelona.

The striker scored seven times in 33 games for Barcelona B last season and has now come to England to try carve out a career.

Mujica is expected to initially link up with Leeds’ Under-23s side with manager Carlos Corberan, but senior boss Bielsa has certainly given a fair shot to promising youngsters already at Elland Road.
