Leeds fans not impressed as they are linked with 27-year-old striker
Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi is being linked with Leeds United. However, some Whites fans on Twitter have responded to claim they don’t want to sign him.
According to the Telegraph, Leeds are interested in the Chelsea frontman’s signature.
The Belgium international is unwanted at Stamford Bridge, and a move to work under his former manager is being mooted.
He previously played under Bielsa during his time at Marseille, before he eventually joined Chelsea for £33million in 2016.
The 27-year-old centre-forward has enjoyed some special moments in a Chelsea shirt, most notably the goal to clinch a Premier League title. However, four different loan spells away from the London club highlights it’s not been perfect.
Firstly, he’s spent time with Borussia Dortmund and Valencia. Additionally, he had back-to-back loan moves at Crystal Palace. His latest one saw him score just two goals in 20 Palace appearances this season.
Batshuayi makes little sense for Leeds
A selection of Leeds supporters on social media don’t want Batshuayi at Elland Road.
Unfortunately, they are making complete sense, albeit it’s a little harsh on the Chelsea striker.
He’s someone that can sniff out chances in a penalty box, but it didn’t quite happen for him this year with Palace.
It’s unclear on how much Batshuayi would cost to sign from Chelsea this summer, but Leeds should pull out their interest.
If you consider the way Whites forward Patrick Bamford plays, there is a massive contrast in styles.
