Leeds United are one of the clubs interested in signing Blackpool striker Anthony Weston, according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (15/3; page 60).
The Whites have plucked a number of exciting young prospects from clubs in the leagues below in recent years. The likes of Ryan Edmondson, Liam McCarron and Josh Galloway have arrived to bolster the youth ranks at Elland Road.

And it appears that they would like to add Weston to those ranks.
The Sun on Sunday (15/3; page 60) reported that Leeds are rivalling Everton and Rangers for his signature.
The 16-year-old has only made one first-team appearance for the League One side. But it was former Whites boss Simon Grayson who handed him that chance in an FA Cup tie earlier this term.

And some comments he made back in December – and reported by the Blackpool Gazette – may encourage the Leeds fans interested in knowing more about the teenage forward.
“He deserved the opportunity,” he told the Blackpool Gazette. “I’ve not stopped talking about him with my staff since watching him (in a reserve game) at Squires Gate about 10 days ago.
“He went to Ipswich with us last week and he trained with us the back end of the week. He’s got so much enthusiasm. The lads were watching what he was doing, where his pure enthusiasm and love of being a professional footballer is at the front of his mind.
“He’s got 30-year-old lads behind him in the warm-up and I’ve never known a 16- year-old lead with stuff like that. He’s got confidence in his ability and it’s great for him. He’ll never forget his debut.”
TBR View – Weston could be an exciting addition for Leeds
Grayson’s time with Leeds saw the club bring through and rely on a number of incredibly talented young players.
It must also be noted that Grayson did not use Weston again before his departure from Bloomfield Road earlier this year.
But he may have been wary of putting too much pressure on the starlet. His comments highlight that he is definitely one name to keep a keen eye on.
And perhaps it may be Leeds who get the opportunity to take his game to the next level.
