If you look at Patrick Bamford’s statistics for this season, you will see that the Leeds United striker has been credited with seven goals in eight Premier League appearances.
Even the most optimistic Leeds fan would have struggled to imagine that Bamford would make such a prolific and impressive start to the campaign.

He scored 16 league goals last season. But he also came in for a lot of criticism for missing a number of key chances throughout the year.
In comparison, he had scored just four goals in his first 15 Championship games last term.

But he has taken his game to another level in recent times. There was the stunning hat-trick against Aston Villa, and there were impressive finishes against the likes of Liverpool and Fulham.
His seventh goal technically came with a superb drive at Crystal Palace at the weekend. But if you were to watch Leeds’ latest upload on their YouTube, you would be forgiven for thinking that Bamford actually had eight strikes to his name this season.
That is because Leeds have posted a compilation of Bamford’s goals and assists. And – arguably superbly – they have included his strike that was disallowed in controversial circumstances on Saturday.
The 27-year-old produced a delicious chip over the goalkeeper after being played in by Mateusz Klich. However, it transpired that some of Bamford’s arm was offside, and it was deemed that the goal should not stand.
The decision has been widely criticised. And Leeds certainly appear to have made a further statement regarding what they make of the call by including it alongside all of his other goals this season and making very little reference to the baffling decision to disallow it.
