Leeds fans laud Max Dean after under-23 goal

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to express their delight about Max Dean after his goal for the under-23s on Saturday.

The Whites drew 2-2 with West Ham at Thorp Arch. It was Dean who broke the deadlock just before the half-hour mark.

The finish was excellent as Dean produced a diving header to turn home Stuart McKinstry’s cross. It was an effort somewhat reminiscent of Patrick Bamford’s winner in the stunning comeback against Millwall in 2020.

But it was Dean’s role in the build-up that epitomised everything the supporters love about the 17-year-old.

He scored eight goals in all competitions last season. And he has now opened his account for this campaign.

There are a number of exciting attacking players coming through in Mark Jackson’s side right now. The likes of Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood continue to impress on a consistent basis.
