Leeds United stretched their unbeaten run to an impressive six games on Sunday afternoon with a hard-working performance against Manchester United at Elland Road to draw 0-0 – and Leeds fans have applauded Gjanni Alioski.
Leeds were in good form coming into a hotly-contested clash between two bitter rivals. The Whites had won three of their last five matches – beating Man City, Fulham and Sheffield United, and drawing with Liverpool and Chelsea.
While United dominated most of the proceedings at Elland Road, Leeds certainly had their chances. In what was another sign that Marcelo Bielsa had altered his approach after a 6-2 loss at Old Trafford, Leeds kept firm.

United rarely stretched Illan Meslier more than a stunning save he produced to deny Marcus Rashford from a free-kick. Leeds had a string of half chances but it was a tactical battle that was mainly bogged down in the middle.
Alioski, 29, was excellent on the left. Not only did he produce five tackles, behind only Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips – as per WhoScored – but he kept Dan James quiet throughout, a player that has been linked with Leeds.
The North Macedonia international remains out of contract this summer but Leeds fans have applauded the former Lugano star for his display on Sunday – with one supporter claiming he works harder than anyone else.
