Leeds fans hail Adam Forshaw for display against Nottingham Forest

Leeds United were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Nottingham Forest on Saturday in the Championship – and some of the club’s supporters picked out midfielder Adam Forshaw for praise following his performance.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team let a one-goal lead slip at Elland Road and had to settle for a point in their second league game of the campaign.

The Whites had plenty of possession and their pressure eventually told when Pablo Hernandez scored in the 59th minute with a lofted finish over the goalkeeper into the corner.

But some sloppy defending from a corner allowed Lewis Grabban to tap in a late equaliser and leave the Yorkshire club frustrated over their poor finishing.

A selection of Leeds supporters liked what they saw from Forshaw in the centre of the park and believe he stood out.

The central midfielder helped break up play and set the tempo with his energy, while the defensive side of his game is vital to the team.

He’s a 27-year-old that does bring experience to Bielsa’s side and he’s played every minute of the opening two league matches, with a formidable partnership forming alongside Kalvin Phillips and Mateusz Klich.
