Leeds United suffered a 4-0 pre-season friendly loss to Manchester United in Australia on Wednesday afternoon – and Leeds fans were frustrated with striker Patrick Bamford during his hour-long display.
Mason Greenwood opened the scoring for United after an excellent ball from Paul Pogba found Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who squared to the United teenager to open the scoring from close range inside the first 10 minutes.
United’s second came before the half-time whistle, as Marcus Rashford executed a superb Manchester United break, turning the Leeds defence inside out before calmly finishing past former Spain international Kiko Casilla.

Phil Jones came on at half-time and his powerful header found the back of the net from a corner. Leeds performed admirably, but United’s quality shone through as they showed end product to secure a comfortable scoreline.
Liam Cooper then conceded a penalty after a strong tackle on Tahith Gomes, before Anthony Martial dispatched the spot kick. Bamford, 25, was taken off just before United’s fourth, after a disappointing display.
The former Chelsea striker failed to get involved, other than being caught offside on multiple occasions. Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to Bamford’s display, with many criticising the striker as he was flagged by the linesman repeatedly.
