Leeds United have announced Kemar Roofe is set to be on the sidelines for four weeks – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are not too pleased with the update.
The Whites have confirmed (official website) that the attacker will return in four weeks time and that his problem is not as bad as first feared.
He sustained an ankle injury in a pre-season game against Western Sydney Wanderers and is going to miss the beginning of the new Championship campaign.
Roofe’s problem may have been much worse, but a selection of Leeds fans on social media have still vented their frustration about his latest spell on the sidelines.
The 26-year-old centre-forward was a key player last season with 15 goals in 34 games across all competitions.
But he had a couple of injury issues that disrupted his campaign and it impacted the team too.
Some Leeds fans are also worried about the striker options during his absence, with Patrick Bamford and academy prospect Ryan Edmondson the most likely candidates available to manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Roofe is set to miss some intriguing opening league fixtures, with the first of those away to Bristol City on 4 August.
The Yorkshire giants also face Nottingham Forest, Salford (EFL Cup) and Wigan Athletic in that period, while Bielsa’s team host Brentford in four weeks time.
