Brendan Rodgers heaped praise on Leeds United following Sunday’s draw with Leicester City at Elland Road – and Leeds fans have reacted on Twitter.
In what was an enthralling clash, Leeds looked like their old selves with a swashbuckling display in the final third. Raphinha opened the scoring.
The Brazil international’s brilliant form continued with his seventh goal for club and country this season – his fifth in the Premier League.
Despite his goal, Leicester pegged Leeds back within seconds – Harvey Barnes cutting inside and scoring superbly. It ended 1-1.
Leeds were excellent, though Leicester had their chances. Rodgers was full of praise for his opponents after the match, as per Leeds Live.

“That was more the team we have seen, that running capacity. The crowd really pushed the team and helped the team,” Rodgers said.
“Felt like an old-school British game, It was so good. Winning their last game was important. Whole week to prepare. Come out and flying.”

Rodgers’ Leicester are in a similar run of form to Leeds – in that they are yet to hit their best form. They might have felt aggrieved not to win.
That is, Ademola Lookman was an inch offside after tapping in in the second half. But Leeds certainly had more chances in the second 45.
Jack Harrison missed a sitter after a flick from Kalvin Phillips, while Raphinha blasted over from 12 yards. It was an excellent advert.
