Leeds fans discuss player’s price tag amid reported interest from La Liga

Leeds winger Helder Costa is reportedly attracting interest from Spanish side Valencia this summer. The Portugal international has dropped down the pecking order, and could go after Leeds agreed a permanent deal for Jack Harrison. Leeds fans discussed a price tag for Costa on Twitter.

Costa, 27, only played 23 times for Leeds in all competitions last season – having a hand in six goals. The ex-Monaco and Wolves man failed to even make the bench for the last five Premier League games due to injury. He only started 14 of those 23, completing 90 minutes six times.

Little surprise, then, that Costa is attracting interest given he is struggling for game time. The Athletic’s Phil Hay says in a report that Valencia – the club that Leeds signed club-record addition Rodrigo from – are keen. What Leeds charge for Costa, is not yet known.

What are Leeds fans saying about Valencia wanting Costa?

Of course, just a year ago, Costa joined Leeds permanently and cost the Yorkshire club £16million (TalkSPORT) to sign. During promotion to the Premier League, Costa played 46 times for Leeds. He had a hand in 13 goals – but even his form in the second tier was largely questionable.

Leeds fans have discussed what would be a reasonble fee for Valencia – or any other clubs – to sign Costa this summer. While many are aware that Leeds will probably struggle to get as much as £16million back, the majority feel a fee in the region of £8million to £10million is fair.
