Nahki Wells has reportedly emerged as a target for Championship side Bristol City as Lee Johnson looks to bring a new striker to Ashton Gate – and Leeds United fans have discussed the Burnley striker on Twitter.
Sky Sports claim that Bristol City are interested in signing 29-year-old Wells on a permanent basis, as the Bermuda international continues to shine on loan at QPR. He has scored 14 goals in 28 games this season, including five in his last three.
Robins manager Johnson is keen to sign a striker before the deadline, after missing out on former Leeds loanee Eddie Nketiah who has remained at Arsenal following the early cancellation of his loan. Leeds are looking to replace the loss of Nketiah.

Marcelo Bielsa is keen for cover and competition for Patrick Bamford, who has come in for plenty of criticism this season – especially after he missed a penalty against QPR on Saturday, a match in which Wells scored the only goal of the game.
Wells was signed by Burnley in the summer of 2017, for a fee of £5million (BBC Sport). However, he has managed just 10 appearances for the Premier League side, and has since spent the last two years on loan at QPR – scoring 23 in 71 outings.
Leeds fans reacted to the reported news that Wells is interesting Johnson, and many feel as though he would be a good signing for the Yorkshire outfit – and push Bamford for a place in Bielsa’s starting eleven.
