Leeds fans discuss Leo Hjelde on Twitter after West Ham tie

A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to discuss the performance of Leo Hjelde after the centre-back made his first-team debut in the FA Cup third round tie with West Ham on Sunday.

With Leeds dealing with a raft of injuries, Hjelde was one of those promoted by Marcelo Bielsa. Lewis Bate also made his senior bow, while Sam Greenwood was handed a first start.

Hjelde was arguably handed the toughest gig of the trio. Of course, Michail Antonio is a nightmare for centre-backs to come up against.

And Stuart Attwell certainly did not endear himself to the fans as the game went on. He gave one free-kick against Hjelde during the second-half despite replays showing Nikola Vlasic was not touched before going to ground.

Leeds are currently without Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk and Charlie Cresswell at centre-back. And in truth, you would imagine that Bielsa would have wanted the former Celtic man to get more minutes for the under-23s under his belt before making his first-team debut.
