Douglas Costa has emerged as a reported target for Leeds United ahead of the summer window with Italian media suggesting he has been identified as a possible replacement for Raphinha – and some have discussed the Juve ace.
Costa, 31, is clearly surplus to requirements at Juventus under the guidance of Andrea Pirlo. The Italian legend decided to let the 31-time Brazil international leave the club last summer, which saw Costa rejoin Bayern on loan.
But Costa – who first moved to Europe with Shakhtar Donetsk – has failed to rediscover the form that saw him shine previously at Bayern. During his first spell, he had a hand in 41 goals during 75 games – scoring 14 and creating 27.

However, this season, Costa has only scored once in 21 appearances for Bayern. He will remain with Hansi Klich’s side until the end of this campaign and then return to Juve – where he has a contract until the summer of 2022.
Now, Juve Live claim that Leeds have identified Costa as a possible addition. Indeed, numerous reports – including the one from Juve Live – state that Liverpool are keeping an eye on in-form star Raphinha ahead of the summer.
It is claimed that Costa may be brought to Yorkshire from Juventus as his replacement. Many Whites fans have reacted on Twitter and while the feeling is that they do not want to lose Raphinha – the majority want Costa signed.
His wages might prove to be an issue, though – with CalcioMercato claiming he earns £101,000 a week.
