A number of Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the performance of Dani van den Heuvel after the under-23s played out a goalless draw with Everton on Monday night.
There was plenty of intrigue amongst supporters ahead of Mark Jackson’s lineup being announced. Of course, many of those who would usually be in contention to feature were involved in the first-team squad for Saturday’s clash with Arsenal.

So it was no surprise that the likes of Joe Gelhardt, Crysensio Summerville and Cody Drameh played no part against the Toffees in York.
And Leeds did end up only giving just 45 minutes to a couple of players also straddling the line between the youngsters and the senior side. Sam Greenwood and Lewis Bate were taken off at the break.

But the Whites still managed to play some superb football at times. And ultimately, they secured a decent point.
They were however, grateful to van den Heuvel after his performance in the stalemate. He made a number of high class saves, including one amazing reaction stop in the early stages of the contest.
The number two goalkeeper position at Leeds is one that several players can perhaps set their sights on. Kristoffer Klaesson has, unfortunately, not had the easiest time since arriving at Elland Road in the summer.

Klaesson has however, been an ever-present on the first-team bench this term. So it would appear that he is indeed the man to come in should Illan Meslier be sidelined at any stage.
Having said that, plenty of Leeds fans have suggested that van den Heuvel was hugely impressive against Everton. And with that, some think he should be ahead of Klaesson in the pecking order right now.
