Leeds fans criticise Ezgjan Alioski for Nottingham Forest performance

Ezgjan Alioski started in Leeds United’s defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Championship – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter ripped into him for his performance.

The defender last 70 minutes before he was substituted off with a yellow card to his name and he had a difficult outing.

Marcelo Bielsa watched his side fall 2-0 at the City Ground in Saturday evening’s league meeting and it means they have lost five of their last six matches across all competition.

The Whites once again appear to be crumbling in the New Year and they were nowhere near their fluent best at the weekend, despite dominating the possession.

Sammy Ameobi scored a first-half goal for Forest, while Tyler Walker ensured the three points in the 94th minute.

Leeds are now only inside the automatic promotion positions on goal difference and quickly need to turn it around to keep themselves in second.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media were left raging with Alioski for his latest performance.

The 27-year-old was in at left-back again against Forest and going forward he lacked the final ball on the overlap.

Meanwhile, defensively he struggled against the likes of Joe Lolley and made a number of cynical fouls when caught of position.
