Leeds fans concerned by Marcelo Bielsa’s comments about Pablo Hernandez
Marcelo Bielsa has been quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post as saying that he will not risk of Pablo Hernandez when Leeds United take on Preston North End on Tuesday night – and Leeds fans are worried.
The 33-year-old has been suffering with a knock of late, and that problem was extenuated on Saturday afternoon during Leeds’ 1-0 defeat to Birmingham City at St. Andrews.
Hernandez has been a crucial part of Bielsa’s side this season. The four-time Spain international has scored 12 goals this season from midfield, as well as creating 11 strikes.
Bielsa was asked about Hernandez in his pre-Preston press conference, and he stated that he remains a doubt for Tuesday’s clash. He also said that he would not risk Hernandez.

“There is a possibility that Pablo cannot play. [Kemar] Roofe will play if Hernandez cannot play,” Bielsa said. “He received a kick in the last minute. We are not going to take any risks if playing makes his injury worse.”
Apart from a seven-game stretch at the beginning of the campaign, Hernandez has played every single league game for Leeds. Of those seven outings, Leeds only won twice.
Leeds fans reacted on Twitter to Bielsa’s comments about Hernandez and are extremely worried that he may not even be risked against Preston in what is a crucial clash.
