Leeds fans concerned as Tottenham reportedly eye Kalvin Phillips

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips this summer amid plenty of other Premier League interest – and Leeds fans are growing increasingly concerned.

The Mirror have claimed that Tottenham have launched a bid to sign the 23-year-old midfielder, whose future at Elland Road remains in doubt as he is yet to agree a new deal with Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

Phillips shone for Leeds as they came within an inch of a Premier League return, clocking up 46 appearances in all competitions and becoming one of the first names on the team sheet in the number four role.

A new deal has been in the offing for Phillips, who has two years left on his £10,000-a-week deal (Mirror). But he is yet to put pen to paper, alerting not only Spurs but Aston Villa, Newcastle, Wolves and Bournemouth.

Villa are said to have made an £11million offer for Phillips, but Leeds want as much as £30million for the midfielder given today’s market. It remains to be seen what Phillips wants to do, though he did captain Leeds on Thursday.

Leeds fans reacted to the news that Champions League finalists Tottenham want to land the uncapped English midfielder, and many Whites fans are concerned that they could be waving goodbye to the Thorp Arch graduate.
