Leeds play Newcastle on Friday night and the fans want to see a change in Rodrigo’s role.
The Spanish veteran has rarely been used as a striker by Marcelo Bielsa, but it’s what the fans want to see.
So far at Elland Road, Patrick Bamford has been the out and out striker in the Premier League.
However, it might be time for a change.
The Whites have only managed to amass two points from their first four Premier League games and sit 17th in the league.
Recently, Phil Hay has written about Rodrigo’s struggles at Leeds, which has led to many fans calling for him to be used as a striker.
The fans don’t want to see Bamford dropped, they just want to see Rodrigo and Bamford’s roles to be switched.

The argument for this is that Bamford is more likely to track back and get stuck in defensively than Rodrigo.
It would also allow the former Valencia man to use his pace going forward pulling away from opposition centre-backs.
It doesn’t have to be a permanent move.
Against teams that play a high line, Rodrigo’s pace in behind should be exploited.
Meanwhile, when trying to break down a low block, Bamford could be the way forward with his movement away from defenders.
Rodrigo has certainly shown promise.
Across 29 Premier League games Rodrigo has seven goals and two assists.
Considering most of his appearances have come in midfield, that’s impressive.
If the experiment is tried and fails then the fans will stop calling for it.
But until they’ve seen the Spaniard given a chance as a striker they’ll be keen to give it a go, especially if they remain winless.
