‘Some boos’: BBC commentator noticed exactly when Leeds fans turned on Marsch against Fulham

Leeds were beaten by Fulham at Elland Road this afternoon as Jesse Marsch was plunged further into trouble with the home fans.

After being booed and jeered at Leicester in midweek, Marsch was forced to apologise to the Leeds fans for heading straight down the tunnel. The game with Fulham and then the upcoming clash with Brentford were seen as two golden chances for Leeds to pick up points.

However, things haven’t got off to a good start in that quest for points and commentating on the game for BBC Sport, Phil Dawkes noticed just when Leeds fans turned on Marsch today.

“A mixed reaction to the Leeds subs.Patrick Bamford’s introduction gets roared to the rafters. But the decision to take off Luis Sinisterra and send on Crysencio Summerville courted some boos,” Dawkes said.

“It was taking off Sinisterra at Leicester that prompted the travelling Leeds fans to give Marsch some stick and sing for Marcelo Bielsa.”

There were boos at the end too and Marsch must surely be fearing his job. Coincidentally, it was a goal from Summerville right at the end which gave Leeds a glint of hope. However, Marsch must know the clock is ticking.

Oh dear. Oh dear indeed. This is not what Leeds and Marsch needed and this was the nightmare game for the Leeds boss in the end.

3-2 made the scoreline a tad closer in the end but overall, Leeds were poor and Fulham will feel they deserved the three points.

At this rate, Marsch will be lucky to still be in a job come the World Cup break unless something dramatically changes.
