‘Not a happy place’: BBC man spots what Marsch and Leeds fans did at full-time after Fulham

Jesse Marsch could be into the final few moments of his Leeds career after being booed off by Leeds fans at Elland Road against Fulham.

The Whites had taken the lead against the Cottagers only to see Marco Silva’s side come roaring back with three goals against a Leeds defence once again lacking in quality and decision making.

As we know, Marsch had gone straight down the tunnel at Leicester and was roundly booed. But despite opting to stay out and clap the Elland Road crowd today, he was once again met with frustration, as pointed out by BBC Commentator Phil Dawkes.

“Jesse Marsch is out on the pitch now, applauding the home fans but he is largely getting boos in return. The South Stand at Elland Road are engaged in their own chant of ‘sack the board’. This is not a happy place. It feels like it is only going one way,” Dawkes said for the BBC.

Whether or not the Leeds board will hold their nerve or not remains to be seen. But a baying Elland Road crowd will have done Marsch few favours, especially when this was deemed a winnable game.

TBR’s View: Marsch Could Be Done For At Leeds

Marsch has a huge problem with Leeds now. He is sinking fast and he doesn’t have the credit in the bank that Marcelo Bielsa did.

Whatever he is doing just isn’t working and it seems Leeds fans are already on thin ice with him anyway. Of course, the board got some verbals as well, and as pointed out, Elland Road seemed an angry place.

What Leeds now decide to do could be massive. Marsch, then, will be hoping some patience prevails and he’s given the chance to turn it around.
