Leeds fans blown away by Pablo Hernandez in pre-season

Pablo Hernandez was the star man for Leeds United in their pre-season victory over Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter went wild about the quality of his performance.

Marcelo Bielsa’s team secured a 2-1 victory and Hernandez struck the winner in stoppage time in superb fashion.

The 34-year-old playmaker picked up the ball on the right flank, before ghosting past several defenders into the penalty area and eventually finishing with his left foot

He showcased his brilliant individual skill throughout the entire game and also saw an effort strike the crossbar.

The attacking midfielder was so vital at Elland Road last season with 12 goals and 12 assists in the league, and it looks like he will be a mainstay once again.

Leeds’ 17-year-old Mateusz Bogusz had earlier scored the opening goal with his well-taken strike, while Kwame Yeboah was on the scoresheet for the opponents.

A selection of Leeds supporters on social media were blown away by the performance of Hernandez and were left in awe of his brilliant individual goal.

The Spaniard is certainly capable of special moments, but the team needs its strikers to be firing too if they are to be in the Championship mix for promotion once again.
