Robin Koch played the entire 90 minutes as Germany earned a 1-0 friendly win over the Czech Republic at RB Leipzig’s RedBull Arena – and Leeds supporters have heaped praise on the Germany defender.
Koch, 24, came into the match having enjoyed a good start overall at Leeds – but coming under some scrutiny after two successive 4-1 defeats in the Premier League to Leicester City and Crystal Palace. Koch made mistakes in both.
He earned his fifth Germany cap in a three-man defence alongside Bayer Leverkusen powerhouse Jonathan Tah and experienced Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger on Wednesday night – as Germany played host to the Czech Republic.

Germany last kept a clean sheet in November 2019, going six matches without one. But Koch excelled throughout the 90 minutes as Joachim Low’s side prevented the Czech Republic from netting, and nabbing a goal themselves.
Benfica summer signing Luca Waldschmidt scored the only goal of the game. The striker pounced after Czech goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka parried a fierce attempt by Florian Neuhaus into his path.
Though Germany enjoyed the lion share of possession, it was a close match in which the Czech Republic managed 15 attempts at goal – five of which were on target. But Leeds fans have praised their £13million (Goal) signing.
