Crysencio Summerville made his first Leeds United under-23 appearance since November and scored an excellent hat-trick in a 4-1 win over Burnley in Lancashire – and many Whites supporters have applauded the Dutch winger.
Summerville, 19, joined Leeds in the summer from Dutch side Feyenoord for £900,000 (Di Marzio) having played 22 times during a loan spell with top-flight outfit ADO Den Haag. But he has made an indifferent start to life in Yorkshire.
The Netherlands Under-19 international has played both EFL Trophy matches but only managed to play twice in Premier League 2 – his last appearance coming in a 4-3 defeat to Newcastle United back at the start of November.

He had failed to score in his previous four appearances, since struggling with injury. But returning on Monday afternoon away from home, he looked a different player and put Burnley to the sword with two excellent close-range finishes.
His goals came after Sam Greenwood – fresh from making his first-team debut for Leeds against Crawley on Sunday – blasted Leeds into the lead. Summerville’s brace saw Leeds go 3-0 up at half-time, and had a third effort cleared off the line.
His third did eventually come late on, after Max Dean’s effort was parried to Summerville. Leeds fans were delighted to finally see what all the hype was about regarding Summerville, in what was only his fifth outing for the club’s second string.
