Leeds fans and Cody Drameh react to late moment from Whites debutant at Fulham
Joe Gelhardt scored a sublime penalty on Tuesday night as Leeds beat Fulham after a shootout – and both fans and Cody Drameh have reacted.
Leeds went into Tuesday night’s clash against Fulham down south with numerous injury issues, suspensions – and even the birth of a baby.
Pascal Struijk was suspended, while Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente and others were sidelined through injuries.
Dan James became a Father on Tuesday afternoon at 3pm. But to help his new side, he travelled via helicopter to feature at Craven Cottage.
The game went to penalties and Leeds relied on a couple of saves from Illan Meslier to finally go through. Gelhardt scored, in what was his debut.

As stated, Gelhardt has been sensational for the 23’s since joining the club from Wigan. His goals got Leeds promoted last term, to PL2’s top tier.
So, he was more than deserving to play for the senior side. Many believe he should been given a chance much earlier than Tuesday night.
But it was a brilliant debut for the Leeds teen, who cost £1m in the summer of 2020 from Wigan (Sun). His penalty in the shootout was excellent.
