Leeds could return to the table with an improved offer for a £4.2m-rated defender.

The Whites have added Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Alex Cairns and Joe Rothwell to their ranks so far this summer.

Though, Daniel Farke isn’t prepared to rest on his laurels as he looks to add further reinforcement to bolster his squad.

With that said, Leeds could return with a second bid for a defender on the continent.

Leeds could return for Jordan Torunarigha

TBR reported in May that Leeds United were keen on Gent centre-back Jordan Torunarigha and some reports suggested they had a £2.5m bid rejected.

Now, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, Leeds’ name has cropped back up and they could return with a second offer.

Gent will only sanction Torunarigha’s sale if a bid worth £4.2m arrives, though, The Whites face stiff competition for his signature.

Premier League duo West Ham United and Crystal Palace are also looking at a move for the 26-year-old whilst Serie A outfit Monza keep tabs.

Jordan Torunarigha profile

Torunarigha is a towering centre-back, standing at 6ft 3in tall.

The Nigeria international is left-footed, so if he were to join, he’d likely provide Pascal Struijk with direct competition.

He can also ply his trade at left-back, though, given his physical attributes, centre-back is his strongest position.

It’d be seen as quite the coup if Leeds landed his signature as they’ll have to fight off competition from clubs across the top five leagues in Europe.
